@Kyle Gospo
Try switching devices around
And the ui is very laggy door some reason
Update again and reboot
From the steam game mode system update right ?
Yes, steam game mode system update updates bazzite.
@antheas it says I am up to date
I will check later today
Hopefully Kyle did not destroy it
Is there any reason the game mode UI drops frames it becomes very laggy
And is there a way to support u guys ?
Dunno but the new update caps it at 60hz so it should be better
Yeah GitHub sponsors for now
Thank you
Feels more like 30
New update should have fixed that unless it did not get in
There was a timings issue
Weird I got the update
Bs nothing changed except the audio went off
So does the audio work or not
Kyle will wake up soon to triage this
No it's not
And the ui to me is still the same
Can you send the update again maybe it didn't go through my device
Any updates boss
not sure
youll need to wait for others to have a similar issue
did you update your bios?
How do I do that ?
I am sorry I am very bad with these stuff
follow the instructions on the asus website
I don't have windows on my ROG ally I replaced with bazzite can I still update the bios ?
Yes
Follow the instructions on the website
@Kyle Gospo turns out he has no audio too
So new update will be released
I am on the latest bios 341
Till audio is not working but I have connected it to my ear phones and it worked
Ok great
Kyle will look into it today
small FYI: I also have no audio on the ROG Ally with bazzite (have yet to try if headphones work)
Can you try these and reboot?
sure, give me 5 minutes
sysconfig does not exist (for both), only sysconf
Those have now been disabled and I still don't have audio
well rip
let me try bluetooth earbuds
@antheas bluetooth earbuds have audio, so it seems to be the device only
Hey cool it's not my fault
who do we pin this to lol
Did you restart after disabling?
yup
restarting it a 2nd time just in case
restarted it again - the audio device shown is "Family 17h/19h HD Audio Controller"
Before the latest update it was the same, after the update it said "ROG ALLY". Dunno if that helps, but that's the information I can see
I agree
It's the same thing
can you re-enable both of those services, restart, and give me;
journalctl -u service-name-here | fpaste
for both?reboot before this?
yea
need to see what they did
will do that :)
ty
is a phone photo good enough?
fpaste uploads it and spits out a URL
that would be best\
would accept photo of URL
ah okay, never heard of that before
now back to showing "ROG Ally" as the audio source
