Why does this fit feel off to me?
I just bought this cardigan after trying it on in store, and want to wear it with this merch tee from an artist I like. The jeans I’m wearing are what I planned on wearing with the outfit, but after looking at this picture now, something seems off.
Are the jeans too light? Is the texture of the cardigan wrong or does it clash with the green tee somehow? It all seems like it should work on paper, but something just feels wrong.
I sent my girlfriend this picture and she said it all worked together and looked good. Maybe I’m just overthinking or not seeing it somehow. She’s pretty fashionable herself, and she wouldn’t just lie to me.
I don’t have any darker wash denim at the moment and am going to buy some soon, but is that what would make this fit work better?
I appreciate any advice or insight.

honestly, overthinking it
Think the cardi looks amazing with the light wash denim
I think the colors work well. where the tops end is what throws it off for me. the cardi is too similar in length to the tee so it kinda feels, idk, weird
***it still looks good, i think most ppl would share this pov, i am just online nitpicking
but for a fix I'd either tuck the tee into jean for more varied hemline
or wear a longer tee
I think it’s a solid fit, if anything the cardi is a bit too small imo
The shirt inside can be a little bit more cropped so the hem lines don’t match up to draw more separation in layers
But honestly this is good!
Yeah the colors are very good
i don't mind the closer fitting cardi, just need the inner layer to follow that same close/cropped cut
Thank you. I should’ve mentioned the cardigan is actually meant to be cropped, I’ve been enjoying cropped items lately and the proportions it makes. I’ll just make sure to tuck the tee in as well when I wear this!
Was actually thinking about cropping this tee - I may just tuck it in with this fit for the time being!
cropping it would be hard!
(hard like cool not difficult)
Thank you! I’m definitely gonna tuck the tee in and may crop it later
Appreciate you, bro
Alternatively you can wear a longer tee if you want to emphasize the cropped nature of the cardigan
out of curiosity where’s the cardi from?
I feel like that Cardigan is very pretty, but at the same time I feel like the issue is a combination of languages. To explain that's a very soft looking Cardigan, delicate looking while you are wearing a wide cut Jean and jeans, specially jeans like yours are workwear, and I think that's what's off you wouldn't work on that Cardigan but those jeans scream hard-wearing and work. I think the Cardigan will look much better with something that's softer than those Jeans, and those Jeans will combine better with other kind of Cardigan, in general this is a minor thing and really it looks good enough most people are just going to see the parts and not overthink it. But with those Jeans, a looser bigger less fine Cardigan would work better.
I disagree I think the cardigan formality and occasion match the jeans, which are definitely not workwear jeans
yeaa, i think replies above covered it for the most part
Abercrombie and Fitch!
Nah looks great
