ROG Ally’s controller is disconnecting and reconnecting in bazzite, windows works fine
It looks like my controller is disconnecting then reconnecting immediately after in bazzite, the controller doesn’t work in games on bazzite but looks like it works on windows 11 desktop,

imeediately after meaning
Basically it’s flashing on and off
Like connecting for a few seconds, then disconnecting for a few seconds, then connecting again, etc.
Same things going on in the controller settings of the actual bazziteOS settings
Like flashes between “no controller detected/disconnected” to controller settings
can you run
journalctl -b | fpaste
and drop it here?
also, have you ever updated your bios and controller firmware? How do I update bios controller firmware?
Is that just through armory crate update (windows side?)
we have had some people recently show up with 2 year old ally bioses that have issues
but run that command and let me see
yea just follow the instructions on the asus website
Yea I’ve updated on armoury crate so I should be good to go, I’m gonna run the command rn
im not sure asus does that through armoury crate yet
Lmaoo oh
but this could be our issue
Just sent it, to you thanks again
i cant tell from the log, I need you to run one more command
but i can see something is wrong
can you try changing the rgb mode?
Just did not sure what’s going on now
show the last lines
take a picture
there should be a crash
oh thats unfortunate
can you ctrl + c
and rerun the last command
and take a picture when you see the crash
@Kyle Gospo this cursor is way too big
This what I saw when scrolling up on that same code
rerun it
thats unrelated we need the error you sent me
Ok
I had to get my keyboard plugged in
It’s looking like it’s frozen at the “warning running rgb commands”
there should be a nexception that says
[Errno 22] Invalid argument
otherwise it fixed itself and youre good
just reboot
Cool thank you
Yup looks like it worked
np
Also the rog website is the only way to update firmware? Controller stuff, when on windows?
yea the controller you need an exe from there
bios can be put in a usb stick
and then you can use the bios
can controller exe be ran to update fw within linux, or does that require being ran in windows partition?
No but there's work being done for that
Won't be ready for the next month
You need windows
