sleep crashes steam deck if game recording beta is enabled
if i sleep on the home screen or with a game that i turned recording off for, it works fine. just updated today. tried multiple games, the sleep button will turn the screen to black with audio still playing, then audio will die and it will show a console or terminal with nothing but a flashing cursor, then it reboots itself after maybe 10 or more seconds. steam deck lcd.

is there a way to check logs to see what's happening
the last bit of my output from
ujust logs-last-bootthe "power key pressed short" at 18:59:18 seems to be from when i got tired of waiting in the weird terminal space and held the power button to shut down
because doing that did suspend the screen
the dump it uploaded to /tmp/dumps is no longer there
i'm not quite sure what they mean but the two pipewire lines kinda imply to me that this COULD be because of how the game recording beta captures audio
they did recently introduce microphone support and while that wasn't enabled in this example it might mean they changed how things are done
has anyone else on this server reproduced this bug
found what looks to be a successful sleep button press from earlier in the day, where no game was open (or a game was open that had recording disabled, i do not remember)
can i check some kinda pipewire log to see if that's the cause
rebased to bazzite 40 and the problem is gone
that's not really a solution tho

yeah still happens
game recording isn't a beta feature anymore tho as of like today so i checked and yeah it still crashes on steam client stable
the behaviour of the crash was different to before but it's nearly 2am i'm going to sleep
i'll look at stuff tomorrow
