gift card not working in my region
i used the code from a gift card sent to me by my friend, it says it's unable to be used in my country, tells me to go to https://support.riotgames.com/hc/en-us/requests/new and look for help, but when i open it, it just shows this. my friend and i live in different countries, and the gift card is a physical one, if that helps.

gift cards are region locked
meaning you can only redeem it in the region wherever you bought it
is there any way or method i can get the vp? or is that it
you can try to make a ticket using the link you already have
but idk if the support allows / does stuff like that in general
the link i was led to doesn't load, tried using vpn doesn't work either

Physical gift cards are region locked to curb the efforts of scammers scamming gullible people
damn so i got scammed then
since i cant redeem the fucker
any fix for this?

no, the region is bound to your account
so i wasted 30$ then?
can i change my region for this purpose?

pretty much
to change region on your account you have to be in that region for at least 2 weeks (as far as i know)

:valExclamation: If you have the wrong region listed on your VALORANT account, you can use the link below to change it. This might fix any unnecessary latency or currency issues you might be experiencing.

make a ticket and ask them if they can redeem it for you. i personally dont think they do that, but its worth a try.

who made them locked regions then?
no, i mean "you could have informed yourself before spending"
I never knew gift cards are region locked
the internet did, it is what it is
ffs
i wish they can redeem it
how often do they check support anyways?
they have people employed just for support tickets
as they get hundreds if not thousands of tickets each day, they take some hours up to 3 days to respond
if they cant redeem it then ill vpn my way
i mean changing regions to singapore wont be bad for the ping anyways
i play on singapore servers so not really a down side XD
also keep in mind that if you do happen to change regions, you cant be in the same party of anyone in your current friendlist
hmmm
wait so why the fuck can i play in singapore servers then
like if i can play in those servers but change region to that country
theres a difference between server and region
why does riot have this insanley stupid region based servers
hmm if i cant play with them for 2 months i dont really give a shit
30$ is more important to me
but maybe they can redeem it
i mean its not like i bought a cheaper version of a gift card
