Connecting Hostinger to CloudFlare domain
Hi, I am unable to connect my hosting service with my domain. CloudFlare doesn't give me the option of editing the nameservers. How do I resolve this, please? Thank you.

Have you changed the nameservers over on your domain?
If you have, go onto the Cloudflare Dashboard and select the DNS tab
No, because it doesn't give me that option. That is the problem
could you point out what I should do from here please?
Add a record
I was following this tutorial where it said I should add these two CNAME records but how do I know this worked?

Alright, so, click on "Add Record", then under type select "CNAME", give it a name, and then add the target in (Which will be your Hostinger address), you may also have to turn off proxying but I've never used it before with Hostinger so I'm not sure whether you can use it or not
I'm unsure what the target is. I tried putting the two nameservers but I get error. Should I put what the tutorial says or something else?
oh I tried editing now and it worked, I managed to copy the target the Hostinger website provided for me specifically
when I check it here there's no confirmation the process has started, that's what I'm worried about

Are you putting this on a subdomain or the root domain?
@amelie786
Basically, it should look like this
@
means root, so it'll be at the root of your domain
Anything else there means a subdomain, so for example, putting www
there will mean www.yourdomain.com
@
-> yourdomain.com
Root
I've put everything exactly as it is in the tutorial from above, one with @ and the other one with www.
I understood that once I've done this it would be possible to check whether the process has started and that I should get an ✅
Bare in mind that it can take up to 48 hours for Cloudflare to update the DNS records properly, though usually it is pretty quick
Hello, it's been more than 48 hours and the propagation still hasn't been completed, my domain still isn't connected.
I wasn't able to add an A record using the IP address as Content for some reason, but I managed to edit it. Now it looks like this, is it correct?
Depends on what your goal is. You will not use the Cloudflare proxy and all the features like Workers/Pages/etc with DNS only entries.
I am trying to point the domain to Hostinger. To get the DNS propagation to work. That is my goal. Maybe later I can turn the proxy on.
I've been dealing with a very similar issue for three days and this was the info I needed! Also have been using CloudFlare to park domains, but needed to setup my URL to point to Hostinger (on the free plan, so the Nameserver update wasn't a option). Pointing the A record to the IP address with Hostinger, then creating a CNAME to point the "www" prefix to my domain registered with CloudFlare did the trick. Just needed to then wait for propagation (went through within 10 minutes), then needed to get Hostinger to install the free SSL correctly (failed for some reason the first time).
