Learn how to install mods on dedicated servers on the docs website: https://docs.ficsit.app/satisfactory-modding/latest/ForUsers/DedicatedServerSetup.html
Installing Mods on Dedicated Servers :: Satisfactory Modding Docume...
SML3.7.0 enabled the compilation of mods for Dedicated Servers and SMM3 makes it easy to manage mods on a server, be it a local server or ho...
I've already used the website but it didn't work
does the host also have a guide?
no
i dont red german very well so no idea if that sufficient
That guide tells you how to make a server locally
I bought one from host-unlimited
Specifically its for opening the console on a locally hosted server
I only have access to the WebFTP of the server
Thats for savegames
yeah that what i thought from the last page i linked
im not sure sorry nothing there suggests using SMM to install so im wondering if thats even supported
Yeah i dont know either
id open a support case with them and check what is needed and supported, especially check login credentials - then return here for help is tyou need it
Ok im asking the support
After the rate limit issue is solved, the path to input there should use
/
not \
. You can also leave it empty and SMM will show you a file browser to navigate to the server locationDid you find out how to install mods on host-unlimited? When I try to connect I get the error: "failed to check if valid install: failed reading FactoryServer.sh: failed to list path: 451 ENOENT: no such file or directory, lstat 'C:\home\Kunden<some id>\gameserver\FactoryServer.exe'"
The hoster provides FTP over a website and there I can see that the file gameserver\FactoryServer.exe exists.
Show a screenshot of SMM

FactoryServer.sh seems wrong as the server is running on Windows. But using
FactoryServer.exe
as path doesn't fix the issueYou shouldn't include the .exe in the path, no
failed to check if valid install: failed reading FactoryServer.sh: failed to list path: 451 ENOENT: no such file or directory, lstat 'C:\home\Kunden\id\gameserver\FactoryServer'
What if you use
/gameserver
as the path?failed to check if valid install: failed reading FactoryServer.sh: failed to list path: 451 ENOENT: no such file or directory, stat 'C:\home\Kunden\id\gameserver\gameserver\FactoryServer.sh'
The server is returning incorrect error codes, a file not exsiting should not return an error starting with 4 (4 means temporary error, you can retry), it should return 550 for a file not existing
Can you ask their support about this? If they say they can't fix it, I can try to make a build of SMM that handles this incorrect code...
I can write the support. What exactly is supposed to be written in that path field? The folder containing
FactoryServer.exe
?
@Katzenmagnet Did you get help from the support?Yes, the folder that contains FactoryServer.exe, which should be
/gameserver
looking at the screenshots on host-unlimited's FTP wiki page
