Unable open any system apps in KDE Plasma
Steam, lutris, and flatpak apps can still run, but dolphin, system settings, konsole, etc would not open.
launching through command line would return a core dump
launching spectacle by keyboard shortcut would return

Display photo since spectacle crashes and I can't take a screenshot
switching to a tty and back does not fix it
Plasma crashed completely
Upon trying to log out via the gui
System is unresponsive at this stage

I was about to blame Nvidia but I see that you are using the standard AMD desktop image. Did you install directly or did you rebase from something else like Fedora Kinoite?
iirc rebased from kinoite 40
the issue did not persist over a reboot
but I have absolutely no idea how to reproduce it
this was on the 40.20241014 image
gonna try to update to the latest one
the first core dump is on Oct 25 15:36
removed a lot of spam from (probably) gamescope or steam
otherwise the log would be 70+MB
Hopefully it was just a weird once off issue. If you do figure out some way to consistently reproduce the issue, then the Bazzite team might be able to create a fix for it.
