Any suggestions for turning these pants into something cocktail attire appropriate?
Recently bought them after seeing them in store and loving the fit and material. Now have a wedding coming up that is cocktail attire (on the more casual end) and hoping to wear them.
I'm still fairly new to putting effort into how I dress, so would appreciate suggestions for shoes, shirt and potentially jacket. I'm located in Melbourne, Australia.

Navy blazer, brown shoes/loafer, pale pastel shirt, knit tie would probably be ok in most situations. That said in very strict settings cocktail attire means a suit, so you might want to check with the wedding party.

Have checked and it's all good, very relaxed couple so I might even be overdressed.
