Change graphics processor
So I installed Bazzite HTPC on an HP 600 G5 SFF with an rx 6400. One of the quirks with this hp is that I cannot access the bios unless I’m using onboard graphics so I had to boot my bazzite usb using the onboard graphics and installed it with that as well. Now I want to switch over to my rx 6400 as my main graphics processor but anytime I restart all I get is a black screen. I’m having trouble getting into game mode but I can get back into desktop mode on restart using
press CTRL-ALT-F2 to bring up a terminal
enter steamos-session-select plasma
On the initial black screen
When I go into system info it still shows my Intel UHD 630 as the graphics processor but it shows the rx 6400 as available under fastfetch in terminal

it should tell gamescope-session to use the correct card. also make sure your screen is connected to the RX 6400 and not the onboard graphics
Screen is connected to the rx 6400 currently but still shows that it’s running using the onboard graphics, I’m a little confused on where to put what you sent sorry
you run the command in the terminal and you want to grab the VID:DID for the gpu you want to use, it will be in the output next to the gpu name as [11aa:xxyy]
you only want the part inside the brackets
then you make a file inside
.config/environment.d/ named what i said in that message and add VULKAN_ADAPTER=11aa:xxyy and save the file
restart and see if it uses the right card this time
the config directory is hidden and can be shown by pressing CTRL+H in your file manager
also if the folder environment.d doesnt exist inside .config, just make it (you wont believe how many people go "it doesnt exist, what do i do?")Okay was able to get into game mode now but now I’m getting an unsupported hardware notification about the EV2 prototype steam deck
That is an error none of us have been able to get, most likely just visual
Hmm do you think it will have any adverse effects?
doubt it since the only other instance where this happened the user only complained about the message existing in general and showing up for them
and its not a message we control
