Question on Older Hardware
I'm trying to install this on an all AMD setup, but it's quite old. I used the Steam Gaming mode one so i could use this to play older games.
It's an A8-6410 with R5 graphics and 8GB of really fast ram. Weird thing is that i tried this on an older laptop and it worked, and it used GMA graphics with a core2duo and 4gb ram

officially gamemode only supports
* modern amd gpus (polaris, rdna1 and newer)
* intel arc gpus
anything else is not supported (and if it works it is as-is and might break in the future)
Is there anything unofficially?
Because I'm perfectly fine with either
the "unofficially" is if gamemode boots but its slow as hell, thats what you get, nothing we can do about it
gamemode requires i think at minimum vulkan 1.2 (or was it 1.3) to be supported by your gpu
hence why the only thing supported is modern amd and intel gpus
and before you ask, this is the state of gamemode with nvidia after waiting for them to make gamemode work with their driver for 2 years
That still doesn't explain how it ran on hardware almost 15y old
