Server-Only mods/Dedicated server join for a friend via GFN
Hey legends,
I play and host a dedicated server (via Bisect Hosting) and hav ejust looked into using SMM to install some mods to the server. Unfortunately my friend joins via Geforce Now as he has a baby laptop that can't run the game at all (not even really a gaming PC) but can play at awesome settings via GFN.
Unforuntately this means no mods for him>
I read that some mods only need to be installed serverside and tried using SMM to install only a few lightweight mods like infinite zoop and infinite nudge (with the server selected, not my own local install) and they installed fine - but he still can't join due to an error saying he can't join a modded server while vanilla.
ANy thoughts?

Infinite Zoop is probably your issue. It adds research to the MAM which is not just client side.

At the moment vanilla clients cannot join servers that have SML installed, even if the server mods specify they can be server-only, since we are not yet sure if SML fully works as expected if only installed on the server
