Looking to limit X11 games fps running through bazzite-arch distrobox

Hello, I've been looking for ways to limit the fps on games that have been exported to the bazzite desktop from distrobox. I've gotten MangoHud to work on Vulkan based games running natively, but can't seem to get anything OpenGL based to get the overlay loaded. Alternatively, I've tried passing vblank_mode=1 to the program on launch but that also doesn't seem to do much. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Solution:
I was able to work something out, if you open the shell script exported from distrobox located in /home/user/.local/bin , you can append the following after "exec" and before the program launch script. Make sure you've installed mangohud with paru or yay: mangohud --dlsym MANGOHUD_CONFIG=preset=1,fps_limit=142...
