ROG ALLY Doesn't boot Bazzite (FIXED - Updated bios)
2nd fresh install and a blank screen appears after Bezzites loading

as long as you have logged into steam on desktop mode it should be fine

also to fix the boot menu to show just 2 entries run
ujust configure-grub in the terminalit finish verifying installation and goes to black screen.
once it shows verifying installation its running steam and any issues of it not starting is an issue with steam
thats what was happning to me before. 1 in 10 times it booted to steamos.
the other 9 times it stays with black screen
switch to the desktop mode through the tty again and drop the
.gamescope-stdout.log and .gamescope-cmd.log from yoru home folder into here
the files are hidden so press CTRL+H to unhide themi just shutted down again and rebooted. went from bazzite loading then blank screen and now black screen
i cant acess tty. i need to reboot it till it shows blank screen
now it stayed foorrrrr a longggg time in blank page and started updating pack and launching steam
ok well since it booted steam this time, we need the logs that ends with
.old

damn then i think the only option is to actually get the bazzite-deck iso and install from that :/
its weird because i followed every single step from other Rog Ally tutorials
i can do that, but everytime i try to download the iso it says its missing from the website
do i need to uninstall something? or just burn the iso into a usb and boot?

sorry the kinoite rebase didnt work for you, hopefully an install from the iso itself will work
do you know anyway to format the drive without booting to windows? or its better to format on windows and then boot the usb

@HikariKnight wierd enough. This screen never appeared in the last installs. At least we’re diferent. It was in this part that the screen went black

yeah once that screen finishes its supposed to take you into gamemode
i used the command you told me before
entered desktop mode. did the final installs and rebooted
and it entered gaming mode
but now i dont know if i should reboot again xD

see if it keeps doing the same thing
because it should not the ally is fully supported

soo. i made a fresh install. everything went well. booted to the steamos gamemode. Then to test the reboot, i restarted from the game mode. and it booted back to Desktop MOde. started the "updating steam" and then re-login. tested game mode. didnt work and back to desktop mode. and now on desktop mode, the screen went black 🫠 🫠 🫠
in the "blank" screen i pushed crtl+alt+f3. logged in
typed steamos-session-select (without desktop) and it booted to game mode
in game mode I entered desktop mode and back to game mode and worked..
trying to restart to see if it goes to game mode straight
nop.. back to blanck screen again

if you havent already, disable secure boot then run
ujust enroll-secure-boot-key and follow the instructions
once the key is enrolled from the blue mok enrollment screen you can turn on secure boot againAlready did. Thank you 🙏🏻
also you can right click on antheas post about updating the bios and choose to mark it as the solution under apps
that way it will also get indexed on web search engines

One more question. To update Bazzite do I need a command or there’s another way?
update through the steam UI, ignore the changelog, date, progress bar and timer.
we cannot change the changelog or date. progress bar and timer is just set to 20 minutes since we have no way of checking remaining time for an update or estimating it.
if it gets stuck at 1 second left its still updating and its just taking longer than what we assumed or you have a conflict.
if you want to see actual output of the update go to the desktop and run the
system update program from the application menuNice. In my case, unless of if I change something it only updates from stable builds right?

and since this is a deck build. updates are manually triggered by the user
