Completely locked out from Game Installations after 5 seconds
SMM completely locks me out of its menus after 5 seconds of booting it up. I needed to remove my Mods folder from my server cause something was corrupted but it wouldn't let me. I removed it manually.
My server works again but SMM still is locked.
You need to add a way to properly reset a game installation if something broke. Like removing the Mods folder with a button (instead of me going in with FTP). It would be easier to just reinstall every mod then.
- can't select any other game installation nor profile, nor enable disable mods. I am completely locked out of the interface after 5 seconds.

Turning mods off would remove everything from the Mods folder
Are you running SMM on windows or linux?
I'll make a debug build to check the devtools console
Windows
It's still happening btw
It seems when it can't launch the install it disables the whole UI
The selected install is a server and it was successfully connected and validated. It was working just fine before.
Okay, I manually switched to my Steam install now during the 5 seconds window I have before it disables everything. .. it still disables everything
Oh, so it detects a game as running
Wait. Let me check if it is because of the game running
Yep
You ninja'd me but I just had the same guess
Interesting that it's not happening right on start
It should not disable everything if the game running isn't the one belonging to the installation. Especially when it is a server.
Yeah also there seems to be a rather big delay before it actually detects it.
At the moment there's no way to determine the full path of the running exe
Just its name
So at most it could differentiate between client and server (and I guess epic and steam)
And it shouldn't lock the install picker, I thought I fixed that
Maybe at least you could differentiate between server and local installation?
This 😄
On your way of fixing it maybe it would be beneficial to add a hint somewhere that says "Game is Running" so users (like I just did) don't have to guess why it disabled the UI. 😄
If you hover over the disabled stuff it should say
Oh hidden behind a tooltip. Okay
