Problem with Modded Minecraft
Hey, I'm using CurseForge and I want to play a modpack, but every time I try to start the world, I get a message called 'Error 6.' None of my friends, who use a different OS, have this issue. Is this a common problem, or is it specific to my computer?"

What is the Minecraft version of that modpack?

You need Java 17 for that, if you are using something newer or older
If you are using Prism it's pre-installed, just need to change in the instance settings

Also not Linux only, it's available for every platform
What is the launcher you used to install the modpack?
curse forge
You probably need to install java 17 from brew or inside a distrobox for that
I suggest to switch to Prism if you want to keep it simple

I finally figured out this exit code issue, becuase i've been having this same error on bazzite with curseforge's modded minecraft.
add / edit this file:
inside it
actually that might just be an amd driver solution
or could be modpack dependent
not entirely sure
