ROG Ally emudeck wont take sd card
so bazzite has been working amazingly on my new rog ally, but when trying to setup emudeck it says it can't detect the SD card I can mount it and I see all my Roms on the card it's currently Exfat and labeled mysdcard. I tried setting custom directory then going to the folder but then it just tells me there was a issue detecting your storage. not really sure what to do, just wanted to add those games nicely into the steam UI

FWIW the original ROG Ally's (including Extremes) have a notoriously high rate of dead SD card readers, my Ally included. You can check if the SD card appears in desktop mode or using
lsblk over ssh but it's probably a dead reader. Do you recall if it worked under Windows? Might be worth doing an RMA on.Sorry I should have been clearer the SD card reader works fine in the file browser it mounts and works no problems I've been been playing said Roms on it with standalone emulators in bazzite. Just the emudeck installer has a issue, no where else. So I know it isn't a hardware issue.
I'd just like to be able to add the games to the steam UI instead of needing to go into desktop mode, may just add Pegasus to steam and just use that to front end Roms.
So for the future if anyone has this issue I still can't get retrodeck to work but I worked around this by just installing steam ROM manager and setting everything up myself. Works fine and all Roms work off SD card. Emudeck is still broken for me on the ROG ally but for now I have the issue worked around.
