Chinos
What are your favorite go-to chinos for casual work environment? (Jeans are too casual.) Lookng for slim or athletic cut, but open to others. Looking for investment pieces that will last, but ideally sub $120. Is that realistic?

j.crew 770 or classic fit comes to mind
slightly above your budget is jack donnelly
bronson mfg has military inspired chinos that are closer to straight fit (not baggy) and hit around $100
Bonobos has been my go-to for my working career, their weekday series is really solid. Lasted me ~10 years now. Idk where they really fall between dress pants and chinos but in my head they wear like chinos.
Only comment is they tend to be a little be lower on rise than I’d like, so shirts get untucked easily. Could just be a me problem tho.
@zeometer Thanks....j crew classics were cut wat too big
@Tarrusin I havent tried them before. I prefer to try them on but guess i could return if they dont work
I’m lucky and have a local storefront for them near me, but I only went in the first time to try stuff on, so I get it lol.
Oh i thought they were online only...checking...
Full disclosure they gifted me a pair but jack donnelly’s are like $150? and feel really nice

3rd recommendation for Jack Donnelly; really substantial fabrics and good cuts. I’d recommend the 02 straight cut or go 01 relaxed cut for a wider more contemporary fit. 03 tapered fit is the slimmest I’d go personally since it gives you more room in the thigh which is more comfortable yet slimmer near the ankle if you’re still on the 2010s slim fit train.
