Organic Reaction mechanism is needed for JEE Mains + Advanced as well?
As JEE mains 1 is approaching real soon!! I have nearly no much time left and doing syllabus completion as fast as possible, Do I need to study learn Organic reaction mechanisms for JEE mains?? Or it can be skipped is it fine ? I study that later and grind on pyqs for Oc cuz I have done direct reactions from Ncert itself till now pls reply.. 🙏

to close the thread when your doubt is solved. Mention the users who helped you solve the doubt. This will be added to their stats.learn for those in which rearrangement is possible
and even those just guess what product will become
yea for now just note if the reaction contains a carbocation in any step and do rearrangement there
carbocation rearrangement is mostly asked in mains
Dude you need sn1 sn2 inside out. Also, aromatic reactions benzene ke. Without that oc is hard. This and also basics of what a nucleophile electrophile is.
Anyway if you think jee 1 is hard, focus on jee 2.
One doesn’t necessarily have to do both
you still need mechanisms to understand the reaction and use it in the questions like sn1 sn2, all these mechanisms are given in ncert asw
then dont na
set realistic expectation
i mean dont prep for an exam that is giving you this feeling of mad anxiety bhai
your health is top priority
Works but is risky. Take a call based on your constraints! Knowing that some oc qs may go unanswered because of this call.
i have no limitations
you may have problem remembering the reactions that way cuz me personally i could never remember the reactions for more than a day without the mechanism
try to do frequent revisions
XD bhai simplest ki thread pe hain ham. Aapki baat nahi kar raha
oh lmao it was the peaky blinders dialogue
Roflmao
accha ok, i guess im jus doin normal ques practice+ pyqs practice let me remember reactions doing org mech in april attempt?
to be honest
i think you have more time for january attempt than april attempt
for jan attempt you have at the minimum 2 months
and as much as we try we can't escape boards
boards will minimum stretch till mid march
and mains april attempt will be start of april
you wont get much time then
so if you are planning to study the mechanisms then try to do them now only
i dont know much about that
mains 2022 and 23 maths was tough tho
remember that
many ques were harder than adv
yea
i dont talk much to people so dont know all that
oh
nice
like they combined multiple adv pyqs in single questions so it was crazy
so dont get like demotivated by that
i'll be honest idk anything about school exams and i dont want to give any advice as i have myself not thought much about boards and my advice can be counterproductive
i am a regular school student but havent went to school this year
the teacher is cooperating so attendance is no issue
are there any toppers in your class who arent preparing for jee
they could give you good advice related to that
yea you can talk to her about boards
oh
me
not me
i shared all my notes pdf in 11th
to them
some teacher ?
i meant you can take advice from a teacher
cuz they know your situation
yes
oh
how do you prep for school exams like the last days before them
oh
then dont stress about it for jee
keep it to boards
and make phy and chem scoring
but keep the basics for maths too there are some direct ques in mains
i also have cs
yea dont do integration for jee
even if you study that hard theres no guarantee you'l be able to do that in jee
in maths you can skip the hard topics for jee and do them for boards only
do vectors 3d and all similar chapters good
oh
it has good weightage but likely to be the toughest in the exam
alr i gtg rn
ttyl
hey please dont delete messages on doubts, makes it really hard to follow the thread
