We need more information to help you. Before launching the game again, open the Mod Manager and use the "Generate debug info" option, then send the zip file produced in #help-using-mods. This ensures that your help request won't get buried and forgotten in other, non-help channels!
If you need to access older log files, see https://docs.ficsit.app/satisfactory-modding/latest/faq.html#Files_Logs

was waiting to see if Fred had anything to say about your log, but it looks not... usually you can tell if he's finished scanning it because his emoji goes away, but you added your own which prevents that happening 😅
ill try again or the bot crashed who know
s
ya usually fred would say something is wrong
not necessarily, but he'd normally give a quick rundown at least
having a look manually anyway
same
>verifysteam I mean I'd probably start with this
iactually did and nothing was corrupted
thats normal when offline
same error if you turn mods off?
gona try it now
yeah but if you're not having issues in SMM I wouldn't expect anything odd in that log
its the SMM
i tried turning off mods and it hangs
when offline SMM wouldnt do that before 1.0
ahh interesting
very
I mean, pre 1.0 SMM was an entirely different app, so
1.0 the game is what i meant
3.0.2 smm
yes, when 1.0 support was released SMM 2 was replaced by SMM 3 which is a ground-up rewrite
do you mean this worked on smm 3.0.0 but not 3.0.2?
3.0.0 i didnt try but it can be investigated
no, it's mostly likely just that the new SMM doesn't like running offline at all
script error?
making the game crash
hang on, got a theory about the game crash
think one mod added an update checker into the mod itself, which might be what's crashing offline
yeah you do have some of that dev's mods installed
Discord Rich Presence
megaprinter was the last one
Discord
hang on
Factory Props
Remove All Annoyances
More Players
Better Grass
Not sure how many of those use their update checker, but that'd be my best guess for the base game crash
just uninstalled them so...
manually or is SMM ok removing individual mods, just not turning them off entirely?
x3 rOADS u8 Gave a debug just uninstalled it
yeah I spotted that, don't think it was related, think it was just your connection farting out
it gave the report kinda in a pop up
let try this on offline give me a minute
okay the game loaded fine without the mods just fine testing now with mods, with the ones that you listed
but turning off mods seem to make the SMM hang between off and on
well lets verify if we've got to the bottom of the game crash before we look at SMM 😆
idk SMM seems to hang on start
can you launch task manager and make sure there's no zombie copies?
might be hiding down in 'Background processes'
not there
it makes no sense that it would hang like that
reinstall smm
?
full grey? I've seen this before but it was a webview issue, which shouldn't have developed itself like this AFAIK
tried the good ol' reboot your PC?
that was my next option
I'd try that before reinstalling
plus you know over 3 days....
let give this thing a good kick in the can(restart)
👀
Try 30-60 days
yeah this is low for me lol
lol BRB
yup even after a restart still
blank
does it work online?
no update 3.0.2 is making the smm hang
3.00 try to load but the update makes it close before finishing
ok, sounds like a problem for @Mircea (Area Actions) then, I've been trying to keep it out of his queue 😅 Once SMM is working, try with the spacegamedev mods again - if those break the game offline we should let the dev know
no SMM is just hanging after itself update
yup even after i installed the latest, it hangs
Ok, @DJTQ-0616 correct me if I'm wrong on any of this please:
* User initially reported SMM would hang on toggling mods on/off in offline mode
* User also reported game would crash when launched offline - I believe this is probably due to spacegamedev's mod update checker, but can't easily check due to SMM issue
* User now reports SMM just has a gray screen - while online or offline
* Reboot of PC & reinstall of SMM hasn't effected any change
yup
after the crashes on offline mode as well
can you elaborate on what you mean by that for me please?
Offline mode as in no internet just SMM making it work on offline mode
after selecting it when it asks on the tyop
top
i saw a post about this issue with web view
do you mean "mods off"?
both off and on
sorry by offline I thought you meant no internet connection?
turned mods off with no net
right
then this happened
got it, I think that's covered in my summary
ficsit
app website
what about it?
u said there a summary
I mean this summary I've made so Mircea can understand what's going on https://discord.com/channels/555424930502541343/1297522802773200966/1297568702279192646
i just realized, im stuuuuuuuuupid...lmfao
SMM shouldnt grey screen after switching on/off for mods
correct, and it generally won't, but any software is gonna have bugs, especially software which has only really been out a week or so
haha try linux and fixing those bugs, looking at python, perl, with java that would make your head spin especially php on both
<<has a linux server and dual booted PC Windows and Linux-Kali but i gotta reinstall that
got it
as in the title was changed so i know next time...:D
The blank window issue is fixed in v3.0.3
now SMM is fixed, can you retest the game launch issue with those mods on/off?
@Lynkfox [Vanilla Recipes Ext] there's still an issue here to deal with 😆
debugging it was blocked by SMM going gray
Yeah I saw that. 😅 Got carried away with the answers for Micrea SMM released :p
Easy to do, I may have done this myself on another case a while back >.>
okay no grey right now test online with mods on/off then offline the same way...
helps if steam is loaded.....LOL
odd
what happened?
me being stupid it was say it was offline
okay ran fine with and without mods while being on the net; testing now with mods on/off whith no internet connection...
confirmed; offline with and without mods as well no grey probem is this keeps popping up
which i know its gonna say no internet or something
but so far no issues other than that popup thats all
idk whats with the ficsit fred bot but its not showing up the solution
yeah I think that's just because it can't retrieve the version info
so does the game load OK offline with the potential problem mods?
Close SMM, check the task manager for ghost SMM processes
it will load online with mods but it will not load mods with internet connection
there are no ghost smm
and how about with mods, but not the spacegamedev mods I mentioned?
the mods loaded at first then no mods even though it was enabled...
mods are on im gonna load a save
now it literly made a liar out of me....son of a **
i think what it is doing is saying the mods are loaded but not in game....
i think it pinging for internet to see if has a connection to the ficsit app site while offline...but im gonna see if it does when i just started a new world
no it crashes
crashes the game
when offline
now it gives me this...
it load fine while connected the net but offline it just crashes...
no debug thats odd for the smm, because it would say that there is a problem...
@SpookGameDev (Factory Props) I think your nifty mod update checker is causing crashes when playing offline
Will look into it, thanks for letting me know
Solution
Fixed internally, will provide an update soon.
checking now
I don't think the update's been pushed yet
oh actually, maybe it has
no it did update for the updater what he/she did no issue not even a pop-up
all green
it worked like it did before 1.0 sat came out
Great! Hope nothing else breaks for you 😆
what ever they did keep it for record as an in case something goes hey wire
