new smm upload
I can't get the new 3.8.8 smm update i only get the 3.0.1 everytime i go to the github or search for it when i download it it says 3.0.1 And the new 1.0 says it needs 3.8.8.

SMM is the app that you download and interact with. It downloads files (mods and SML) to where they should go, so that you don't need to deal with them, nor with the mods' dependencies.
SML is the mod loader (it used to load mods, now the engine does it thanks to the way mods are packaged) which provides APIs that mods use to cleanly interact with the game.
You don't need to launch the game from SMM - if you launch from Steam or Epic, your mods will still be loaded. More info here:

There's also no 3.8.8 of either SMM or SML
why is the blurb when i launch the smm say we need something 3.8.8 then?

yes and when i try to load an app and even though it says it is compatible it gives me an error message so I figuered i needed what the blurb said .
That's just an announcement, so that people who aren't on this discord know that mod support on 1.0 is now available

It looks like you have not yet generated the debug info file!
Please do as the mod manager requested. Click the "Generate debug info" button and send the zip file in #help-using-mods otherwise we will not be able to help you!

The issue is the
Uranium Fuel Unit 1.0 mod, because it's not compatible with 1.0 (and won't be updated because it just introduced the changes from 1.0 to U8)ok
