recent update made sleep mode worse?
Hello, I am on the Legion Go and after a recent update I have noticed that sleep mode has started consuming more power and my device is getting warm/fans spinning up while sleeping. This is concerning and was not the case before.
Is this a known issue? Or is there anything I can do to fix this?
Thank you.

I have this option in the Rog Ally, and I'm getting very good battery life on the Rog Ally when sleeping. Do you have this option in Hand Held Daemon on the Legion Go?
extreme standby is an Asus hardware feature, so it's not on other handhelds like the LGO
this does sound like a regression for the LGO
post your Bazzite OS image please
rpm-ostree status
but as a workaround, you can rollback to a working Bazzite OS imageBazzite Rollback Helper - Bazzite Documentation
Bazzite is a custom image built upon Fedora Atomic Desktops that brings the best of Linux gaming to all of your devices - including your favorite handheld.
if you do rebase to an older image, just know that you'll be locked to that OS image and no longer get OS updates.
Once there's bug fixes available, you should rebase back to stable

might've introduced a suspend regression on the LGO, can you replicate on your LGO?
if you don't mind checking, that'd be appreciated
in the meanwhile, could you try rolling back to 40.20241013
and see if that resolves your issue? Will do, also what do you mean by replicate? The problem is persistent any time it is in sleep mode. Sorry if it's a linux term as I am still learning stuff even though I have been at it for over a year now.
oh sorry, the replicate comment was meant for Hikari
14 was a rebuild
Of 13 to fix a small bug
Mine sleeps fine
Will check
So far I cannot replicate on lgo, at least I can't replicate the fans still being on.
Idk how much the lgo should drain in sleep though as I never use sleep mode
So something specific for this user then, hrm 🤔
ok i had mine asleep for 1 hour
about 1% battery drain went from 95% to 94%
i would maybe ask what their HHD settings are, see if we can replicate it that way
but thats a shot in the dark
nah probably stupid bug
so you mean its worth the shot
as i did try changing the different tdp modes and much around with the fan and stuff so no dice with that
no
Interesting to see this is only affecting mine, I too have messed with tdp and some bios settings and so far no dice. I haven't changed any other configurations since I started having this issue. I did change my startup screen though, and this started happening around the same time. Maybe I will try going back to default startup.
startup screen sounds like it could mess with steam sleeping
Will test it out after I do my ssd swap. Finally upgrading to 2tb and currently have it disassembled awaiting the new drive to get here.
It does seems that going back to default starup screen has solved the issue.
