Mods not loading
I am getting this error every time I try to start the game with Satisfactory Mod Manager. I read online that this could be because the mod folder is located inside the FactoryGame folder and not located in the Satisfactory parent folder. I've tried both ways and every time I launch the game I either get this error when the mod folder is inside the FactoryGame folder. Or if the mod folder is inside the Satisfactory parent folde, I won't get this error but none of the mods will load in game. I've tried uninstalling the game and SMM and all related folders and have not been able to fix this. I've also tried moving the plugins folder but am getting the same error.
Has anyone seen anything like this?

I think I got it working. I believe that there was a second install of the game somewhere hiding on one of my other HDDs, which I just deleted. I uninstalled SMM again, this time I deleted the APPDATA ficsit folder (which I think I forgot to do last time), then deleted the mods folder from the correct install location, then restarted. Now Satisfactory is showing mods enabled on the game's main page.

Yes the same is happening to me wether or not I have mods turned on
Yes, uninstalled the game and removed all remaining satisfactory folders, then reinstalled everything multiple times and am still getting the same issue.

We need more information to help you. Before launching the game again, open the Mod Manager and use the "Generate debug info" option, then send the zip file produced in this channel.
If you need to access older log files, see https://docs.ficsit.app/satisfactory-modding/latest/faq.html#Files_Logs
Do you happen to have the game installed to a secondary drive? This issue happened to me before I moved the game to the C: drive 😅
SMM puts mods where they should go, don't trust anything telling you to move the mods folder. Send a debug zip like Lynk suggested above!
SMM generally works completely fine with the game installed on secondary drives, you were most likely experiencing an odd issue with steam's library files, which happened to be solved by moving the game

if you open up D:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\Satisfactory, is there a FactoryGame.exe there?
It was, I uninstalled the game and SMM and reinstalled on a different drive last night just in case it was an issue with that path but still was having the same issue
But that D: path is usually where the game is installed
ok, have you rebooted steam since then?
it seems the new location hasn't been updated in steam's library files
I will try to restart again after work. But even if it's not updating the library files location. The D: drive location wasn't working and was having the same issue before I tried to move it.
