VALORANT Agent Concept: Eclipse
Episode Name: Occultation (when an object is hidden from the observer by another object passing between them)
I finalized her kit in June and finished her design literally a MONTH before Vyse came out and the fact that they're BOTH sentinels, have a WALL-ANCHORED FLASH, and are primarily white/grey/black is making me a bit salty ππ

Q: Shadow Bands
- Equip a shadow bed. FIRE to deploy. The shadow covers an area for enemies walking over even when quiet. Once presence is detected, one of 2 things will happen: Enemies who are caught are tethered and have to pry out, or slowed and decayed.
C: Prominence
- Equip an automated camera/sensor. FIRE to place it on walls. When a visible enemy comes into its sight, the trap hunts down the enemy. Once reaching its target, it explodes, blinding them. The flash duration affects the nearest enemy detected the longest, but surrounding enemies will still be blinded. The trap CAN be picked up and REDEPLOYED if not destroyed. RE-USE the ability to recall from a distance. Takes time to come back.
bruh fr niceee
active / / inactive
E: Atumbra
- Equip a DROPLET, entering a realm to place the exit point at the marked location. HOLD FIRE the ability to create a guidable shadow stream visible ONLY to your team. PRESS the ability again within the radius to travel under the map. Enemies above near your stream will be detected and leave a static image.
Atumbra Radius
Distance you can travel: roughly 65m
X: 2036
- Equip an Eclipse Orb. Fire the orb at a high angle which will suspend at its peak. After a countdown, the orb will plummet and Nearsight all enemies caught in the radius, as well as slows and decays them. The Eclipse orb can be destroyed by enemies.
Countdown process from left to right
Range is roughly the size of the spike explosion wave/sound radius or KJ's Lockdown (30m)
taken from my portfolio btw
more detailed explanations of the util vvvv
Q: Shadow Bands
The βShadow Bandsβ utility is primarily an Intel ability in which Eclipse must equip before casting. Once equipped, the crosshair will be replaced with an indicator for placing a trap. The trap can only be placed on the ground, and will glow red if it is placed at an unfavorable position. Once deployed, it will take 1.5 seconds to activate, and will remain visible to your team indefinitely. The trap will deactivate if Eclipse is suppressed/killed.
When an enemy approaches the trap they can detect its presence just before they enter the traps area to trigger it. They will hear whispers, and the trapped area will darken slightly. Enemies cannot damage the trap, and will be alerted even when they are moving quietly.
If the trap is triggered, by enemies, it will instantly create a slow field around accompanied by one of 2 effects:
1. Tether (An agent is tied down to a specific location and cannot move beyond a certain distance)
2. Decay (An agent will temporarily lose their HP)
E: Atumbra
- The βAtumbraβ utility is an Controlled Movement ability in which Eclipse must equip before casting. Upon doing so, she will enter a phased world that is essentially a shadowed counterpart of the entire map she is currently on but has a maximum radius. Her perspective within this world is black and white. In this shadow world, Eclipse can move freely within the provided radius.
- Once she confirms the location of the βExit Tearβ and exits, it will last indefinitely.
- The locations of the βTearsβ are both permanent can cannot be recalled. If Eclipse wants to move to a different place with the ability she would have to use another charge.
- During her initial setup, Eclipse is unable to move from where sheβs standing.
- The travel from her initial position to the exit tear will take time depending on the distance, and will be underground.
- During her time under, she will have limited vision and canβt see opponents, but she can hear and capture a still image of enemies who are moving within an 8-meter radius.
C: Prominence
The βProminenceβ ability is an Autonomous Deployable ability in which Eclipse must equip before casting. Once equipped, the crosshair will be replaced by an indicator for placing the trail cam bot. The indicator will turn blue if itβs to be placed in a viable position, and red in an unfavorable position. The trail cam must be placed ideally on a vertical surface like walls, though it cannot be over a certain height. Eclipse must also be at a certain distance to cast the ability. Upon casting, the ability will travel and swiftly deploy where it will remain indefinitely and stay visible to all agents.
After being deployed, the trail cam bot will scan its view point, oscillating left and right at 45 degree angles. If an enemy agent is spotted, the bot will activate in 3 phases. First it will become alert, revealing itself to the enemy, then it will leap towards the enemy before exploding into a blinding flash. The closest enemy will be blinded the longest, though surrounding enemies are also blinded but for less amount of time.
X: 2036
β2036β is primarily a crowd control ability that Eclipse must equip before casting. Upon casting, she generates an βEclipse Orbβ which she will then launch into the air. Eclipse can move freely during deployment.
Once thrown, the orb will stop at its apex and create a spherical area of effect below it and begin to wind up. Since the sphere starts right below the orb, and the area of effect will appear both above and below ground. Enemies within the area of effect will have a pulse of light appearing around their field of view. Once the countdown is complete, the orb will drop and emit a pulse that will afflict Nearsight, Decay and Slow Movement on any agent.

Lore: uhhh still pending but basically:
First Light: 2039
3 Years after the First Light is a Total Eclipse that passes her current home. On the day of the eclipse, she goes out to a public watch party. As the moon starts to align she feels something deep inside her body and the more the moon aligns for the eclipse the stronger the sensation gets. As the alignment is complete and the total eclipse is formed, she explodes in a wave of blinding light, causing severe vision damage to the people surrounding. Disoriented, she manages to run while the surrounding people are still stunned.
basically that's how she got/awakened her powers
that's it for now
There's going to be 2 split paths for her:
1. One where she's recruited by the Valorant Protocol some time later
2. She becomes a nomad or something (basically she's alone) and will not have any connection to the Valorant Protocol whatsoever
The nomad one will be a personal project I'll work on, while the one with the VP will probably just be fanart but idk we'll see (about the 2nd one)
That's sick
Valorant should add this
