Here’s what ChatGPT has to say about your issue with Valorant getting stuck on the loading screen:
This is a common issue that could be caused by various factors. Here are some steps you can try to troubleshoot and resolve the problem:
1. Check System Requirements
Make sure your laptop meets the minimum requirements to run Valorant. Insufficient RAM, an underpowered GPU, or an older processor could cause performance issues like freezing or long loading times.
2. Update Graphics Drivers
Outdated or corrupted graphics drivers can cause Valorant to freeze. Go to your GPU manufacturer’s website (e.g., NVIDIA, AMD, Intel) and download the latest drivers for your specific model.
3. Run the Game as Administrator
Sometimes Valorant needs higher permissions to function properly:
Right-click on the Valorant icon.
Select Run as administrator.
4. Disable Background Applications
Certain programs can interfere with Valorant. Try closing any unnecessary applications, especially:
Discord overlay
Game optimization software
Antivirus programs (temporarily, to see if it’s the cause)
Other resource-heavy apps
5. Check for Windows Updates
Ensure that your operating system is up-to-date. Sometimes, an outdated version of Windows can lead to compatibility issues with games.
6. Verify Game Files (Riot Client)
There might be corrupted or missing game files that cause the game to get stuck. To fix this:
Open the Riot Client.
Click the gear icon in the top right corner and select Repair. This will scan for and replace any corrupted or missing files.
7. Reinstall Valorant and Vanguard
As a last resort, uninstall both Valorant and the Vanguard anti-cheat software, then reinstall them:
Uninstall Valorant through your Control Panel.
Uninstall Riot Vanguard.
Download and reinstall the game from the official Riot Games website.
8. Check Firewall and Network Settings
Ensure that Valorant and Riot Vanguard have permission to access the internet through your firewall:
Go to Windows Defender Firewall settings.
Ensure that both Valorant and Vanguard are allowed through the firewall.
Hopefully, one of these solutions will resolve the issue! Let me know how it goes, or if you need further help.
