Why no assist?

This is just a simple question but i can't find the answer anywhere. Why did I get no assist even though i dealt 140 dmg to Yoru? I damaged him about 15 seconds before he got killed by my teammate. I thought the requirement is only 50+ dmg so i am wondering why I didnt get it.
