2FA Recovery loop
I'm trying to recover my account on cloudlfare but it keeps sending me in the same loop where i need to place files on a webserver.
These domains don't all have public websites so I can't place those files.
We still have members in the account who are Super Admin so the could remove me as member and re-invite me but not sure if that would reset the 2FA. This also is the main account so we don't want to do something stupid here and throw everyone out that way.
I don't have recovery codes and the 2FA was lost in phone change.
I'm a bit lost here on what to do now.
Anyone here know how to recover my account?

in the mail it states it needs to be in a folder
worth a try as running out of options
They closed the normal [email protected] email
Ill try the forums as it seems moderators can escalate the ticket there.
no response yet
How would I put /.well-known/cf-2fa-verify.txt this into a dns txt record?
The recovery process is broken then
Not sure what to do here
Other than let the domains expire and put it on a different account
so the idea there is you drop a file cf-2fa-verify.txt in the well known folder of your server.
so if you own example.com, cloudflare is going to look at example.com/cf-2fa-verify.txt
iirc you should only need to do that for one domain on your account.
so if you have ftp access or ssh access you should be able to drop it in there
No the email states it needs to be done for all
I’m still amazed by how difficult it is to reset the account and how they avoid customer service
Im not promoting this service in my company anymore
This is just worrying
