Installation issue.

I can't install any mod or select the game file location for some reason. It's kinda messed up, I have the game through steam but there's no detection as it appears, nor can't select manually? any solution?

Solution:

If you've moved it outside of steam's directory, SMM won't find it

We need more information to help you. Before launching the game again, open the Mod Manager and use the "Generate debug info" option, then send the zip file produced in this channel. If you need to access older log files, see https://docs.ficsit.app/satisfactory-modding/latest/faq.html#Files_Logs
