SMM | Not Launching | Crash Fix Build Not Working
I've just installed the SMM under M:\Apps\SMM; The game itself is installed under G:\Epic\Satisfactory; After the installation has been completed, I've tried to start the Mod Manager, but quite literally nothing happens, not even errors. I also don't see any activity in the TaskManager. I'm on the latest version of Windows 10 and it's a fresh install, as I have reinstalled my PC roughly a week ago.

It works now 🥳 Didn't know it was a webview problem 😅 => I've disabled webview on my system because since the last windows update, when you auto hide the taskbar and then hover over it, it pushes webview tasks with causes a minor lag, even though the search in the taskbar does not need it... weird windows behaviour 🤓

Try this build of SMM https://drive.google.com/file/d/1PRuSA0hCex4fC0Z3U1TdetnX8JcEWszA/view?usp=sharing
I'm not sure why, but the download anyway button is unclickable
NVM, a browser extension has blocked it for some reason 🥸
However, this version also does not seem to run
Is there anything else I can try
Send
%localappdata%\SatisfactoryModManager\logs\SatisfactoryModManager.log
There's no attempt to start today in that log
Or wait no
I was looking at the wrong timestamp?
What is this Legendary and Heroic not installed message 👀 What does that mean
It's from SMM's game finder, it doesn't affect anything
Legendary and Heroic are 2 Epic launcher alternatives
k
I can confirm that this file has been generated
As well as these two
Yeah, the crash happens when trying to show a window, those are generated just before that
Run this build from command prompt and send the output of that
I assume you want me to remove the current one first right 👀
No, this last build is not an installer
Now why did that log now show up in the file...
Try fully removing webview2 using https://github.com/ShadowWhisperer/Remove-MS-Edge/raw/refs/heads/main/Remove-EdgeWeb.exe, then reinstall webview using the Evergreen Bootstrapper from https://developer.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoft-edge/webview2/?form=MA13LH#download
