Mods do not run on server
Good evening folks,
Great mods, great launcher. Now I just need to figure out how to get the mods onto a third party server. Yes, I read that you can't help much with that. That makes sense to me too. That's why I hope that someone like me has a server at G-Portal (Germany) and has figured out how to get mods onto the server that then starts.
Nabend Leuts,
Tolle Mods, toller Launcher.

G-portal claims to support mods but actually don't, I'm afraid.
I have already written them, because in the settings there is a button that offers SML directly. Let's see what they write
It's possible it's changed, but they used to not provide access in a way which let SMM see what it needs to
@sjhoward3 Are you also on G-Portal??
I have an answer. I have to upload the mods manually using an FTP program (I know it for 7D)... the server just crashes when I restart.
No, I self host, but g-portal has been notorious here in the past for claiming to have mod support which doesn't work
There's this section in the Satisfactory Modding Documentation that says g-portal doesn't show the proper game file tree, just the saved folder.
what would be the correct path? At the moment I save the mods on the hard drive. FactoryGames/Mods... I copy them onto the server
I believe mods are compiled differently for the server or client, so you need to manage it with SMM
🤷♂️ I don't know it

the link was good, I also talked to GPortal support at the same time. A mod that I chose blocked the server from restarting. I threw it down and now the mods are running
