SMM not wanting to download
Long story short, I can download the setup file from the homepage but when I go to install it, it gives me a message "failed to install SMM2"
Any help would be appreciated.

Try uninstalling SMM2 from the Windows Settings (Add or remove programs) or Windows Control Panel.
If uninstalling SMM2 from the settings or control panel still doesn't work, install a version of SMM2 (https://github.com/satisfactorymodding/SatisfactoryModManager/releases/tag/v2.9.3) such that there is something valid to uninstall, then try installing SMM3 again

smm2uninstallfailed triggered by @HeavyHitter117so basically, install an older version and let it auto update to the current version.
