Error
I just updated SMM last night and after adding only compatible mods and than launching the game, I received this error: "Plugin 'FileSystemLibrary' failed to load because module 'FileSystemLibrary' could not be found. Please ensure the plugin is properly installed, otherwise consider disabling the plugin for this project." Any thoughts?
Solution:Jump to solution
Make sure you updated the game before launching SMM. If your game is up to date, you have both U8 and 1.0 installed in the same folder at once, and SMM is detecting the U8 version.
To fix this, uninstall the game, delete the game install dir if it still exists (this is NOT the AppData folder, but the location where you installed the game), then reinstall the game, and reopen SMM.
If reinstalling the game takes too long for you, a quicker fix is to delete the
<game install dir>\Engine\Binaries\Win64\FactoryGame-Win64-Shipping.version
file, though this is not meant to be a permanent solution, as having the game installed twice in the same directory can cause issues later....24 Replies
try to switch your profile worked for me
@Navi
Sadly, that did not work. I have tried disableing Mods 1x1, but than I just get different errors about other mods not loading. @colin
This is an issue with versions of SMM that weren't updated for 1.0. Please update SMM, and it will work again!

did you filter the mods for compatible ?
Yes, I only have mods that are stating they are compatible active.

We need more information to help you. Before launching the game again, open the Mod Manager and use the "Generate debug info" option, then send the zip file produced in this channel.
If you need to access older log files, see https://docs.ficsit.app/satisfactory-modding/latest/faq.html#Files_Logs

Try verifying files - I'm 90% certain FileSystemLibrary is a vanilla plugin so if it's missing a verify should install it
Verifying the game files in Steam? If so, I did that.
I also tried to disable some mods, and when I did that it would than give me a different error, for example, not being able to find "factoryprops"

I'm annoyed Fred did not parse the debug. Looking into it

TOO MANY OUTDATED MODS TO LIST!!
Update these mods, there may be fixes for your issue in doing so.
either you have a mod that has not been updated for 1.0 yet in your mod list or, the other option - did you try/succeede in downgrading to U8?
you need SML 3.8 - but the mod manager will pick the lowest version that is compatible for all mods, and some mod is saying it needs 3.7 still.I had tried to switch to U8 but steam would not let me and automatically updated back to 1.0.
Some of U8 got left behind

uninstall from steam then clear the folder cause steam willonly uninstall the files it knows are part of that version
well ya, i would just delete it. I already got rid of all the files I thought were u8 but apparently i missed something
Thanks, I will do that now, and if i have any othere issues, I will let you know. Sorry it was something so simple! I didn't realize that it would have left files behind when it updated.
I do appreciate the help.
no problem, thats what we're here for 🙂
