SMM detect wrong version, cannot download latest mods
Why is it that Satisfactory 1.0 is installed (CL368883), on the other hand, when installing mods, it says that the installation of the mod failed because my installed game version is CL273254.
If I install SML 3.8.0 manually, in some cases SMM 3.0.0 does not download the latest version of the mods.
"Because Satisfactory Mod Loader (SML) "3.8.0" depends on Satisfactory (FactoryGame) ">=365306" and Satisfactory CL273254 is installed, Satisfactory Mod Loader (SML) "3.8.0" is forbidden. So, because installing Satisfactory Mod Loader (SML) "3.8.0", version solving failed."

I'd recommend fully uninstalling, making sure the game install dir (
d:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\Satisfactory
) is fully cleared, then reinstalling18 Replies

Are you using smm3.0?
Oh wait yes
Yes,
Missed that line in the bits resposne
Did you downgrade at any point in the past?
Past month*
i have this same issue
Make sure to update the game, and then restart SMM
i haven't downgraded
i attempted it but reinstalled the game half way through because it wasn't working
Yes. Should I remove the complete FactoryGame folder (C:\Users...\AppData\Local\FactoryGame)?
The downgraded version was on different drive.
No, just verify files
No, that's where your saves are stored and has nothing to do with the game version
Could it be that the old SMM cached something?
I used old SMM then SMM beta and now 3.0.0
Your manifests in steam are showing the old version - given there were a bunch of "hacks" for downgrading that involved messing with the manifests, I'm not surprised
If need be delete those manifest text files then verify again, but allowing updates and verifying files should do the trick
Ah, ok then I try the verify

I'd recommend fully uninstalling, making sure the game install dir (
d:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\Satisfactory
) is fully cleared, then reinstallingThe problem may actually be in the files. I deleted the game on steam and there was over 10GB of data left in the folder. I also manually deleted the remaining files. I'll get back to you after downloading.
open the install folder for the game and manualy delete everything then reinstall
that fixed it for me
Solved the problem for me too!
Thanks for the quick help! 🙂
