Help me find a pair of jeans that are jeans but don't look like jeans!
What's up. Looking for a pair of black denim that fits straight legged (like 8-10in opening). The main problem is that my office technically doesn't allow denim, but I think if it's black it'll slide by ok. But because of this, the less it looks like denim (slubbiness? My terminology is kinda rusty) and the less prone to fading it is (since it's black idk if that really matters anyway) the better. Looking for a mid rise cut, no preference to weight, no budget!

if it's double black denim it'll have a less "denim" look
would fade like regular black cotton pants instead of denim showing the white threads beneath

They are pretty nice and the side pockets in the front help them look less denim like, although the rear pockets are patch pockets still

I feel like most black 100% cotton pieces I've owned have faded over time
Try finding pants in Brisbane Moss Keats fabric. Heavy cotton twill, so similar to jeans, does not fade much. Works well as chinos as well as jeans
How would I find that fabric in particular? Sounds interesting.
I know a couple of mtm makers that make pants in this fabric. Sadly none that do otr.
