Still having trouble? Post in #help-using-modsi did that, and it sitll says there is a mod plugin
i even re installed statisfatory
sorry for the misspelling
read it again. Both of those things are covered in the instructions.
remove the mods folder. Dont use SMM. no mods are working.
it's not there
then your mods are uninstalled. And you have no need for using the mod manager.
Which currently still is being updated for 1.0
like all mods.
i know but i was using it before 1.0 and now i can't find the mods folder
ok. lets start over here.
Are you on 1.0?
i think so
then you do not need a mod folder. Mods do not work in 1.0
do not use the mod manager. Just open SF directly from steam/epic
i need to disable a mod in order for me to use sf
when you open SF from steam/epic, does it give you an error? if so share a screenshot.
alright, one second
i need to disable this
but
i need the smm to work in order for me to disable it
no, you dont
ITS NOT THERE
then whats step 3?
If you have issues launching the game after this, also delete the FactoryGame/Plugins folder, then verify your game files to restore it: https://docs.ficsit.app/satisfactory-modding/latest/faq.html#_how_do_i_verify_my_game_files

go up a level and search for Buildable
it doesn't exist
in my files
no where
which what im confused about
The game can't load a file which doesn't exist, so that is indeed confusing
The game only fails to load files which do exist, because their presence is the only way it knows about them
but i need the files in order to disable the plugin/mod
but where is my mod folder?
well apparently, nowhere!
it's not where the mod manager puts it
so the mod manager working wouldn't help
but then what do i do?
this might be windows file system weirdness, have you rebooted recently?
yes
but the file i need is not in my files at all
if that makes any sense
It's not that you need the file, it's that the game is finding the file and it's incompatible
I recognise that Unreal's error message there is a little confusing, but that's what it actually means
but how come it keeps sending the same error to me then?
I don't know - so you've tried opening the steam folder and searching for BuildableResourceNodesRedux and it found nothing?
yes it doesnt exist
is your account the admin account? could the folder have ended up hidden somehow?
no
To which?
my account is not the admin
Another thought: do you definitely only have one install of the game? And did you access the steam folder through right clicking the game in Steam like the picture said?
yes
i'll figure it out eventually
i figured it out!
Do tell!
i just kept spamming the reinstall, and verify files
eventually it just worked lol
That's Cursed! Glad it worked haha
im glad too, have a good day!
tip - when you uninstall a game on steam, it only removes the files it knows about. If you have added mods/additional files/ect to a game, since they are not part of steam they will not get removed and remain in the same folder.
If you have a problem running a game after mods break, and you can't seem to get it to load even tho they should be uinstalled, open the folder the game resides in in steam, uninstall the game, then delete whatever is left.
Hello, I installed the Buildable Resource Nodes Redux mod but I couldn't figure out how to run it in the game. Can you help me?
