The team is working on getting the tools updated for 1.0. There is no ETA (Estimated Time of Arrival), nor will there be. See https://github.com/orgs/satisfactorymodding/projects/15/?pane=info for an overview of tasks with an overall status message. Watch https://discord.com/channels/555424930502541343/708384236159107129 for live progress updates.
We will ping everyone in https://discord.com/channels/555424930502541343/555428529903239178 when mods are ready.
This is not an answer to the question.
No one is able to answer at what stage the work is? What has already been done and what is still to be done? How much longer can it take?
It is not nice to see (not even read) the same automatic answer over and over again. A response that does not contribute anything and has the characteristics of a tautology - it will be as it will be.
A lot of people are waiting for mods and many of us are a bit irritated by such a dispassionate answer.
its the only answer youre going to get
you can follow that link to see what is left to be done
The work will be done when it will be done, there is no eta, there is no progress bar, there is no % complete. There is the tasks left to complete - but as testing is done, that may increase in additional tasks as new bugs are found.
the people working on this are all volunteers - doing so in their free time, for free. It has long been the policy of this sever on major Updates where the modding tools need to be re-tooled to work again that no time estimates of any type will be given.
Rest assured, it is being worked on. You can see regular updates to the project files in #modding-info-feed
in the mean time you can use scim to extend your inventory size to anything
That was absolutely an answer, and a pretty solid one at that. Modding will be available once the tools that are there are in working condition. "What stage" and "what's done and what needs to be done" can be seen, like they said, in the github or in the modding info feed here on the discord. These things take time.
how dare you suggest i click a link to view current project progress instead of it being spoonfed to me
Respectfully, you need to stop looking at this as a product you're entitled to and start seeing it for what it is: people doing things in their spare time for fun.
Nobody likes seeing the (accurate, brief, and comprehensive) message over and over again, but it's generally only provided for people who've never seen it before.
If it's the contents of the message which is irritating instead of the endless repeats, well, that's very much a "you" problem rather than an "us" problem.
Ok guys
The question has been answered. There is no need to be dogpiling.
Please, in the future, do not continue to add to threads if the problem has already been answered and\or no new additional information is necessary
Wait how do we do that? also the mods on SCIM are not yet working on release no?
Edit: nevermind i just found a reddit thread about it my bad...
