Kadokawa Announces Wordless World Manga Contest
🎨 Kadokawa has announced the exciting "Wordless World Manga Contest" open to artists worldwide, aiming for manga stories without speech or lettering! This unique approach allows artists of any language to participate, and winning entries may get a shot at manga serialization in Japan. 🏆 📅 You can enter the contest anytime until February 28, 2025, with winners being revealed in April 2025. 🌟 Two contest categories: a Themed Manga Award focusing on Don Quixote and an Original Manga Award for any story or genre. Entries can be either in monochrome or color, ranging from 8-60 pages, judged by acclaimed artists like Ranmaru Kotone and Isuna Hasekura. 💰 Winners get $10,000 for first place, $5,000 for second, and $3,000 for third in each category. They will receive guidance from manga editors, opportunities for creation support at Kadokawa, and their works will be published on the KadoComi website. Plus, winners will attend an award ceremony and enjoy a tour of the editorial department! 🎉
