For the people from countries where the company gives you a letter that verifies you worked for them. What prevents you from forging/modifying that letter?
I’m Assuming this mostly applies to people who have worked in India? That’s the main country I hear about that has this.

It's easy for people in India to forge these letters but the government informs every company who pays you in a month about every other company that paid you during that month.

They can only work on IR35, which isn't on payroll, but there are very few jobs which do IR35 like C2C.
