bluetooth keyboard timing out and causing headphones to disconnect too?

this is a weird one and might be a general "bluetooth on linux" moment rather than bazzite specific. i have a bluetooth keyboard (the keychron k6) and bluetooth headphones (bose NC 700 HP) and when the keyboard is completely not in use, the headphones stay connected until the end of time or when i leave the room. when the keyboard is connected, the keyboard seems to time out after a period of i wanna say like 15 minutes of no typing but i haven't timed it. this would be manageable because it turns on when i press a key and reconnects immediately. BUT for some reason it also disconnects my headphones? i haven't verified that the keyboard is doing this but they both disconnect at the same time and this only happens when the keyboard is connected so i doubt it's anything else. this makes watching videos very annoying and idek how to describe this succinctly enough to google it. in case it matters here i'm on a thinkpad p14s gen 1 (ryzen 7 4750u) with its only modification being that i added a stick of ram, and i am running desktop bazzite with gnome. the attached screenshot is the output of systemctl status bluetooth. i'm pretty sure that last line is the important one but i don't know what it means.
