How do y'all get the ideas for your side projects?

Do you have a random blink in your mind? Do you find them online? Is it something that helps you without your day? hmm

Mostly 3, sometimes 1. But then again, I don't do side projects for the sake of doing a side project - I do it for the result.
I may do it to explore a technique or concept I find cool.
I made a project that collects and saves pc specs to disk to learn more about the GitHub Releases, and I made a functional library to learn more about publishing to NuGet, as well as exploring how imperative flows can be made more declarative and where the limitations of declarative code force me back to imperative structures.
it could be some stuff that will be useful to me, or maybe searching for some interests it happen that someone already started a project on that
for example i used to play space empires, searching on internet it comes out that a guy started a clone of it, so i dived in
