rog ally all games close immediately when trying to start
I am able to install games just fine but when i try to run them it closes before the game starts and goes to the game page

Are you playing games on an external drive or SD card?
I tried both local storage and sd card and neither started
Have you tried validating your game files?
is that the same as verify integrity of game files?

Ok, add:
PROTON_LOG=1 %command% to your launch options and attempt to start the game it will make a log file in your home directory
Then just send that here.
And to triple check what is the format of your SD card?
And have you tried removing it?yes and the game is installed locally
where is launch options?

ok I tried that and it still did not work

in your home dir is a log

I am not seeing any log file or folder in my home directory
Then proton isn't even starting
the only time I've seen this is when using an external drive with the wrong format
close steam entirely, launch it in a terminal by typing
steam
then launch the game through that
and copy+paste the ful output of that terminal hereok first I ran ps aux | grep steam
then I ran steam steam://rungameid/736260
the window opened like the game was going to start but then imediatley closed
it didnt say anything in the terminal
try what I suggested instead of what you did
steam will provide output if done properly, no exceptions
I killall steam, then steam, then run steam steam://rungameid/736260, the game actually ran but there was nothing returned in the terminal and when I try to run the game in gaming mode it still won launch there
if you cannot get steam to output to a terminal there is nothing I can do to help you

idk why but now the game doesnt start but I was able to get an output in the terminal
