Athletic fit jean recommendations made from real denim?
I’ve been rocking some Taylor Stitch jeans for the last year that I adore, but since I’ve been working out I’ve become more thicc in the thighs and butt while my waist has stayed the same size. The damn jeans don’t fit me well anymore and I can’t bend over well while wearing them.
Any recs for good quality denim at a similar price point that can accommodate a more athletic build? I’m open to non-jeans/denim recommendations as well.
Info: I tend to prefer slimmer jeans but am open to regular or slightly baggier fits. I’m 6’2” and weigh between 175-180lb, so I’m slim but have a relatively muscular build. I have a tricky build in that a lot of the time athletic fit pants are too big in the thighs and butt but non-athletic fits are too small.

this is a 9 year old thread and a lot of the cuts are out of style
they're mostly either tapered or relaxed tapered fits, out of style in what way?
7 inch leg opening on a 34 inch waist is extremely tapered
fair
Looked through the thread, still had some useful bits. I might have to bite the bullet and get more relaxed cuts but I’m OK with that.
