Games only open on second monitor
I have a 2 Monitor setup. My primary monitor is set up correctly, however all my games via steam start on my second non primary monitor
Setting a windowrule in KWIN to launch all windows regardless of any property on my primary monitor did not work for games, but did for all other windows

It's an ancient issue with X11, games that are full screen will always open on your leftmost monitor even if it's not primary.
Isn't bazzite running wayland? I've never had this issue with other distributions before (on plasma wayland) @Kyle Gospo
Proton is still x11
It'll use xwayland as a result
You should have this issue universally everywhere
Well I have never π . Something must be wrong. I'm happy to provide examples or logs
I've been on arch and fedora with different flavors. This is the first time this happened
We don't patch KDE in any way, so I'm afraid the logs are pointless
If some fix was necessary, we wouldn't do that work in the first place
It is an exact one-for-one copy of what you get out of fedora KDE

I'll prepare a vid of a clean fedora workstation and bazzite comparison...
I just fired up a vanilla arch installation on the same exact hardware and used the flatpak install of steam.
Now all my games use the main monitor regardless of position.
Solution
Stop using bazzite π
