Is there any update on progress fixing the launch error?

Solution

The team is working on getting the tools updated for 1.0. There is no ETA (Estimated Time of Arrival), nor will there be. See https://github.com/orgs/satisfactorymodding/projects/15/?pane=info for an overview of tasks with an overall status message. Watch modding-info-feed for live progress updates.

We will ping everyone in announcements when mods are ready.

There is no way to give a time frame. Development can take turns and twists with each step. Keep an eye on announcements. It could be a week, or a year. That is how things go.
