steam keeps updating satisfactory after downgrading
even if i change the manifest to read only it just wouldnt work at all help please

Yeah I had this problem too... I have no idea what It could be I followed the instructions down to the letter.
yeah like smm would work and all but when i launch it displays an error then updates forcefully

It's possible to use SteamCMD to go back to previous versions of the game. This only works if you own the game on Steam - there is no alternative for Epic. For Epic, you must back a backup of the game files before the update occurs (so turn off auto update to make this easier!)

Like i said, I did both of those but it still forces the update.

some issue encountered: Steam auto updates it after i shut down/restart my laptop. Then i tried lunching it, now plugin missing from mod so I-redownload everything again solution Did as the instruction above ADDITIONAL with: Disable auto update fo satisfactory in steam to update only when lunched. Changing the attributes of appmanifest in /steamapps 526870 to read-only. this will prevent steam from auto updating the game NEVER lunch the game in the steam, follow instruction above and create shortcut and lunch it from therethis one
