Setting dark theme as default experience still serves light theme login page
Hi, like the title says, under the brand design settings page, I have selected dark as my default experience however I keep getting a light theme for my login and signup page. Am I understanding/using this setting correctly?

Hey, this is weird. When you click on any link from "Pages" like "Sign in" does it appears in light or dark ?
hey, it appears dark in the design settings page but light when I get served the login page for my app.
This is weird. You don't have a browser extension messing with your page colors ? I'll pass this to the team too
I have 2 environments: development and production. I pushed yesterday evening a deployment to production and the page is being served with the correct theme. So this is really happening in my dev environment. I'll double check my configurations later today to make sure I haven't missed anything. I do have a browser extension that alters the colors so I'll make sure that's not interfering. Thank you
Hey @.Mass.,
Thanks for reaching out about this issue. I cannot replicate your issue either - is there a URL I could go to, to try reproduce this issue on my browser?
Would you be willing to share the browser extension you have that alters the colors?
hey @Oli - Kinde the dev urls are not publicly accessible. I confirm I am getting served the light theme page in my dev env with these settings. The only reason I might be getting the dark theme in prod is because I changed the background color of my light theme to be dark. So I think this might still be an issue. The only browser extension I am using that alters the colors is https://chromewebstore.google.com/detail/dark-reader/eimadpbcbfnmbkopoojfekhnkhdbieeh?hl=en&pli=1 but I do not have that active. The login prod url is https://login.coderpunk.tech or you can click login on the top right corner of this page https://codedraw.coderpunk.tech. This is not a major problem or blocking me, but it's good to get an understanding on why this is. Let me know if there's anything else I can provide to help.
Dark Reader - Chrome Web Store
Dark mode for every website. Take care of your eyes, use dark theme for night and daily browsing.
Hey @.Mass.,
I will look into this with my team and get back to you once I have more info.
Hey @.Mass.,
This is very odd.
I still cannot replicate your issue.
Are you able to share all the values for the config options on the
Design -> Global -> Brand
page for both your Development
and Production
environments, so I can try replicate this issue.
Keen to get to the bottom of this issue so my team and I can understand why this issue occurs and pass on details of the issue to you.
