Dark Streaks on Shirt after Washing
I just took my shirt out of the washing machine and I saw all these dark stains/streaks all over it. Does anyone know what this is and how to clean it? I really don’t want this shirt to get ruined by it

Looks sort of like grease, was there anything in your machine? I think you could soak this in an oxygen bleach to get it out maybe.
There might’ve been? It’s a communal laundry room so I wouldn’t be surprised. I threw it into a different washing machine with no detergent on a cold delicate cycle
Try to avoid the dryer
Oddly enough this happened to me a couple weeks ago. Dark streaks on a white t, looked like grease. Soaked it in oxyclean for a couple days (refreshing the soak every day) and it eventually knocked it out
Yeah for sure. I only throw certain things in the dryer, definitely not this shirt
Ok, if the streaks don’t get knocked out after this cycle, then I’ll try and soak it in like oxyclean
What temp of water did you soak your shirt in?
I use hot water just to dissolve the oxy clean at the bottom of a bucket and then fill the rest up with cold water, as soaking in hot can set stains
It might have been caught in the dirty door of the washer and then come loose, dragging some gunk with it
