Styling wool trousers?
- but not as part of a suit. I tried something I initially thought looked fine (see photo) only to conclude these wool trousers looked horrendous when paired with sneakers. Generally I do not think they should be worn as part of a casual outfit, so if you have evidence to the contrary please share fit photos! Any of your other personal dos and don’ts on the wool trouser front welcome.

a more formal leather shoe would just be more dressy

I agree that this would, in fact, make a difference, but sadly they are sewn in here :/

the sole is drawing some attention away from the pants so that might be it
the rest is pretty similar to what i wear during the fall lol
Yeah I think this works. I wear grey wool trousers with my white/off white converse quite a lot in casual outfits not dissimilar to this. I think @AgitatedBreadfruit might be on to something with shoe silhouette.
Also, I would like to know more about the cat.
Yeah, oddly the shoes/soles look much slimmer with other trousers, but with these they look a little chunky. Will bear it in mind. Thanks for pointing it out.
He is my foster cat, Clive, and I have been looking for a permanent home for him since April 🥲 Hard because he hates other cats and needs to be the only pet in the house.
