I don't get it, the attacker somehow gets into your server or what

i dont think they understand that the 'ip' they whitelisted is 'sending requests'

Let me explain. Server (A) is running on machine have ip 213.173.110.94. And my app is communicating with A. Now, attacker rent a machine also have ip 213.173.110.94 and spam request to my app. If I use ufw to block 213.173.110.94, I will no longer to communicate with A anymore. I wonder that if Runpod admin can block attacker's machine? or is there any way to block requests from attacker?

Wdym, its the same as you blocking it yourself with a firewall on Linux You can't just automatically "block all attack" right? Hows the attacker has the same ip as your server, what port or type of connection do they make?

By renting runpod machine, two or more can duplicate ip, just different port

Yep Two or more pods can have the same shared ip
