J Press OCBD shrinkage
Annoyed to find that my j press ocbd seems to have shrunk significantly in the wash (1”+ in the sleeves). Has anyone else has had similar experience there or if this is a known issue with j press?

Wash cold, dry low heat
That’s what it said in the care tag at least
As a general rule of thumb I don't dry anything with buttons. Probably overly cautious but I've had too many shirts shrink on me at this point
Ah that makes sense
I’ve generally had pretty good luck just following care instructions, but now that I think of it, almost all my other shirts are hang dry only
Same, at this point a just don’t do a lot of dryer use at all while it’s warm out a good line in my yard dose well

Yeah it went from the general “sleeve ends at webbing of thumb and index finger” to like this

It’s not bad, I just am kind of anxious about fit and stuff and was asking for a sanity check
hmm yeah that is a bit short if its unbuttoned, what were you gonna wear it with?
It’s mostly just for more casual fits
I haven’t really experimented with layering it cause it’s been so hot out, so I’ve mostly been wearing it alone with jeans and chinos this summer
@max yes and it’s somewhat expected but also annoying. Mine didn’t shrink much in the sleeves but definitely shrunk in the body after the second wash and hang dry
I rinsed mine in cold water and was able to get some length back in the sleeves but I should have looked for more sizing advice online
I always size up with shirts.
Yeah I’ll be doing that in the future for sure. Annoying it’s not sized to account for shrinkage
Not a perfect recovery to the original length but a lot better after drying
